What Event Decorators Want Every Bride To Know
At The One Bride Guide and The One Community we understand the severity of the current situation affecting people all over the world. We hope to offer an escape, if only temporarily, to any brides currently in the planning stages. This too shall pass and we want to make sure you’re prepared with all of the knowledge you need to continue your planning process. We hope our posts find you in good spirits and good health.
Most brides have a picture in their head of what their wedding would look like. If you’re taking more of a traditional approach you may see an elegant arch draped in white linens. Or perhaps you’ve envisioned your “I-do’s” as a tropical affair with pops of red, orange and yellow amongst a green wall of foliage.
But as brides, where do we even begin? It starts with a call to an event decorator! An event decorator will bring your vision to life. They perfect every detail from florals, tables, arch design, linens and sometimes even decorative lighting!
I sat down with my friends at Party Perfect Event Décor Inc to get the inside scoop on what every bride should know.
How far in advance should a bride book a wedding decorating company?
The average amount of time couples spend wedding planning is 12 months. If you just got engaged (and are pumped to start your research) we recommend couples book as soon as possible. Even if you’re not planning “I do” for another year or more. Spaces can book up 2 to 3 years in advance and if you’re looking for availability during peak wedding season (busiest time in bridal, extending from late spring and through early fall) you may miss out on the best of the best. 6 Months in advance may even be too late. This includes venues, florists, DJs, photographers, caterers and much more. When you think about it, there isn’t really such thing as booking “too early”— unless you’re a couple prone to changing your minds. You might as well lock in a great party spot and check that big to-do off your list!
Should a bride have a clear vision of her dream wedding before they contact you?
Event designers recommend brides know their wedding vision before doing anything else, however this is not required. We like to begin with a series of in-depth consultations. You will chat extensively with our talented designers who are dedicated to creating the wedding of your dreams.
Whether on the beach, in a ballroom or a private backyard – our weddings reflect the lifestyle and personalities of each couple. This allows even the simplest of designs to leave a lasting impression.
Should brides follow the current trends? Or challenge themselves to consider something different?
Over the last few years, we have seen a change in how couples want to plan their weddings by being more creative and sophisticated with requests. There are so many trends and they will keep you scrolling all day on Instagram and Pinterest!
This can make it difficult and overwhelming for brides. “Don’t stress” and remember it’s about you. Bring out your own style and own it because whatever the trends may be, it’s your day that matters and we will always be here to assist!
What should a bride expect from working with a wedding decorating company?
A wedding decorating company can be very helpful by taking your wedding visions and turning it into the best reality possible. We specialize in luxury weddings throughout South Texas or in any dream destination. We provide each client with the highest level of service and an unforgettable décor experience with meticulous attention to detail.
Our talented designers will take your vision and bring it to life in a breath-taking setting from floral design, table design, arch design, candelabra, flower walls and trees, entrance, decorative lighting, linens, drapery, furniture and much more. We have built our reputation on unwavering service to our clients and look forward to designing an experience that is perfect for each couple.
Do you also take on other roles? Like day of wedding coordinator?
Our focus is to design the wedding of your dreams by creating magical and luxurious moments for you to remember. Our dream team strives to make our clients vision a reality by utilizing innovation, cohesive design practices and giving the upmost attention to your special event.
If event planning services are requested, we will organize details such as day of wedding coordinator, hiring venues, caterers, DJs, and other vendors.
How big of a role does the venue play in your work?
We love to build and maintain a strong work relationship with venues and other vendors. Specially because we are all on the same team with a shared goal – to provide our brides and grooms with the very best experience.
Venues are the main key to all vendors (that includes layouts, scheduling times for setting up and styling the venue, rules and regulations) as they will be there the whole day working with us and making sure everything is going smooth.
Should a bride have their wedding budget solidified?
When you picture your wedding, what do you see? A luxurious reception at a downtown loft? A backyard barbecue with all your friends and family? A classic ballroom reception? Whatever your wedding dreams are, it’s good to have a clear vision of how much money you can spend in each specific area. We recommend these few tips!
- Hire vendors when they’re offering a promotion.
- Weekdays wedding are less expensive than weekends. This will save you some money you can use later for your honeymoon.
Overall, your wedding is about the two of you and your marriage. So have fun and enjoy the best day of your life!
