Cotten’s Barbecue

The family of Cotten’s Barbeque has been in business since 1947 and today current owner Michael Cotten is the grandson of the legendary Joe Cotten. Today the employees at Cotten’s Barbecue have 30 + years experience with the Cotten family as waiters and cooks. Michael says there is no other catering service that has more experience then they do. Cotten’s Barbecue has been through it all. A little over 3 years ago Joe Cotten’s Barbecue burned down and in August of 2012 they started up Cotten’s BBQ in a small suite in Calallen doing take out and catering.  In May of 2013, Cottens expanded to a dining room that seats around a 100 people and hope to work up to a bigger restaurant similar to their grandfathers. Today, Cotten’s Barbecue has excelled so much after going through many changes within the restaurant. Michael says that his grandfather Joe was a legend and an icon in South Texas BBQ and that they plan on continuing his legacy to all those people who grew up on his fabulous food!
