We’ve officially entered the season of fall as of September 23rd!
This seasonal post is going to be all about having a fall themed wedding,
whether it’s in this year’s equinox or next year’s; a lot of people don’t
know this, but the fall equinox (or season) doesn’t end until December 21st,
almost three months later! So technically you could have a fall wedding
until almost Christmas! But this year, let’s focus on five “off-beat” style ideas
rather than the traditional ones we see so often. |
- Centerpieces: Instead of having random leaves scattered all over the place or pumpkins and wreathes, we found this amazing centerpiece that can literally save you cash and time when you do it yourself! You can pair leaves with acorns or pine cones, and even small pieces of sticks for a more natural feel.
|
- Food: Another really neat way of incorporating pumpkins into your fall wedding is to actually place some on your guest’s plates! Ask your caterer to arrange small pumpkins onto the plate, or even requesting pumpkin treats! Subtle, yet prevalent, no?
|
- Your Dress: If you want to be even more offbeat with your fall wedding, step outside the traditional box and find a way to put the season directly into your dress. So many gorgeous blush and beige colored wedding dresses are featured on the fashion runway; the ones pictured here are very pricey, but a thrifty bride can find the same thing for a fraction of the price!

|
- Color Schemes: Is orange too loud of a color for you? Light purples and browns can be substituted for the traditional fall colors. Gold, red, and even soft blues can also be used in decoration, or in the wedding party’s attire.
|
- Bouquets: Off white or pink roses can be paired with chocolate brown calla lilies to add a simple flare of fall to your bouquet. Greens can be easily intertwined with vines or even sprigs of baby’s breath inside the arrangement. Orange, red, yellow, pink, and brown work just as well.

Hopefully these non-traditional ideas inspire you to create a unique and gorgeous wedding! Periodically throughout the next few months we’ll have posts pertaining to fall, so look out for those as the time progresses. |
