How we met:
Dylan and I met online, only to find out that many of our close friends knew each other. The proposal:
Dylan and my mother planned it together. My mother told me we were doing a mother-daughter photo at the Fulton Mansion. After taking a few pictures together, we walked to the back garden where Dylan stepped out from behind a tree holding a dozen red roses. He may have forgotten his speech, but he was still able to convey his love before sinking down onto one knee. After saying yes, I spotted his mother hiding on the back porch of the mansion. It was a true moment of love all around.
Favorite detail:
Bride: Our bar sign! It was cow hide with hand-burned images of our favorite drinks from etsy!
Groom: The CO2 Guns we used at the reception courtesy of our DJ.
Favorite moment:
Bride: When I came down the grand staircase in my second outfit! It was a big hit. Groom: Kissing my bride in front of our friends and family.
Biggest challenge:
Bride: Not crying off my makeup!
Groom: Dealing with the stress my wife had to endure.
Funniest moment:
Bride: When the best man forgot our rings and ran to get them, mid-ceremony! I could not stop laughing and Dylan had no idea!
Groom: Taylor (the best man and my twin) forgetting the rings.
If you could do one thing over:
Bride: The reception! It was so much fun and I would do it all over again just to have that much fun!
Groom: Watch my wife walk down the aisle with the biggest smile on her face.
Advice for couples:
Bride: Don’t sweat the small stuff on the wedding day. I told my day-of coordinator that if I couldn’t plan it within the 17 months I had, it wasn’t meant to happen.
Groom: Your wife is always right!
Why you got married:
Bride: To spend my life with the man I love and finally get to call his family mine as well.
Groom: To spend the rest of my life with my favorite person in the world.
How to make your spouse happy:
Bride: Cuddles and back scratches is all I have to say. Oh and let him pick what we watch.
Groom: Listen, make her feel heard and understood. Quality time.
What you look forward to most:
Bride: The adventures we will have together. We love to travel and experience new things together.
Groom: Getting to wake up next to my wife every morning.
More advice for couples:
Bride: There will be trials in your life and marriage, but overcoming those together is the only way you will be able to survive and live a happy life as one.
