How we met:

We were in choir together at the Corpus Christi Cathedral for years, but it was not until a choir trip to Rome in December 2015 when we finally connected and began dating shortly after, and the rest is history.

The proposal:

He proposed at a spot along the bayfront where we used to park his car and share music with each other when we first started dating. It was just the two of us as the sun was setting, and it was just perfect!

Favorite detail:

Bride: Having the privilege to be marred inside the Cathedral right before they started extensive renovations, so we got to have it look the same as it was when we were  growing up there.
Groom: The people we celebrated with.

Favorite moment:

Bride: The vows.
Groom: Our first dance.

Biggest challenge:

Bride: Budgeting.
Groom: Invitation list.

Funniest moment:

Bride: When we thought my dress broke as my sister was zipping it up before the ceremony, I almost had a panic, but can laugh about it now.
Groom: When we didn’t know when to have our first kiss and Fr. Charles had to tell us we could kiss now.

If you could do one thing over:

Bride: Really taking in the moments of the Cathedral Choir singing the music we picked out for the mass.
Groom: Seeing Theresia in her wedding dress.

Advice for couples:

Bride: Have a wedding that represents you as a couple and that is within your means.  Groom: Be patient.

Why you got married:

Bride: Partnership through life.
Groom: Choosing someone to build a home with.

How to make your spouse happy:

Bride: Don’t just physically be present, it’s equally important to be emotionally preset for your spouse.
Groom: Listen more than you speak.

What you look forward to most:

Bride: Making memories as husband and wife and building a home.
Groom: Spending the rest of my life with Theresia.

More advice for couples:

Bride & Groom: Make sure you’re marrying your best friend.
