Most of the time, I feel like Groom’s get the short end of the stick. I mean sure, they’re getting married to the love of their lives but most of the attention and detail is spent on the Bride. I see a lot of really simple weddings bands for Grooms, and of course guys tend to not really care when it comes to those things but why not get your man a wedding band that showcases just how unique he is?
You can add a little bling or just go with a really cool texture or engraving. After all, he’s wearing it forever so you want to make sure that it’s perfect! I hope you all enjoy these wedding bands that I found. I tried to pick some with a unique quality that stands out.
Which one is your favorite? Mine is the last one! It’s very Game of Thronesy 😉

You will see The Reserve at Dancing Elk Alexander Ranch full page advertisement on the front inside cover of the October & February issue of The One Bride Guide. When we heard about this ranch opening a wedding venue, we immediately became excited because we did not know what kind of event center they would build but we knew it would be spectacular!
This new wedding event center is not your typical event center. It’s 14,000 square foot, fully air conditioned, surround sound, and also provides wedding site accommodations for the wedding party.
The One Bride Guide Owner/Creative Director Monica McLeod Sawyer and Sales & Marketing Rep Monica B. Trevino had the honor of taking a private tour. We met with Steven Dienda, the chef on site who gave us an overview about the future plans for the inside and outside features. This wedding event center is just getting started and has already held 3 weddings! As soon as you walk through the double doors, the open space, impeccable design, you can immediately picture a fairy tale. With the wild life surrounding the event center, awesome sunsets, and location, this is an amazing place to say your vows to the love of your life and celebrate your marriage.
Keep an eye out on this event center because big things are happening out at The Reserve at DEA Ranch. If you are engaged and ready to book your wedding venue, we suggest you call The Reserve today! Contact Kristen or Steven at thereserve.kristen@yahoo.com or 361-946-4812.

I feel like monograms are a huge deal to people in the south. I guess it’s just the sheer fact that it’s fun to put your initials on your belongings, which I can totally understand. I love seeing people make their purses or backpacks completely unique! So why not take on the personalization to the next level at your wedding?
There are a lot of ways to incorporate monograms in your wedding. From your wedding invites, to table decorations or even your cake topper, monograms can be almost anywhere. You’re bound to find something that you and your groom will both enjoy!
Would you use monograms in your wedding?

I can’t help but think of my boyfriend every time I hear this song. I think he even put it on a mix tape with a bunch of other songs as a gift for our 1st year anniversary! Use Somebody by Kings of Leon is probably one of my favorite love songs. Although the lyrics aren’t that mushy and much of the song can be open to interpretation, I think it’d be a great choice of song to play at a wedding reception.
Kings of Leon front man, Caleb Followill has such a unique voice that I’m sure anything he sang would be music to my ears.Followill married Victoria’s Secret model, Lily Aldridge in 2011 in a very intimate ceremony. According to MTV, the couple met at Coachella music festival and dated for 2 years. The song was released a year after they met so maybe Followill wrote the song about Lily?

It used to be all about the cake but now dessert tables are easily the guest’s favorite aspect of your wedding.
Not only are they delicious but it also makes a beautiful display of threats that sets the vibe of your reception. A full on dessert table might not be a wedding essential because I’ve been to weddings with just the cake and cookies but I think it’s really nice to have.
The possibilities are endless when it comes to what you and your groom can put on your dessert table. You can have anything from candy to cupcakes to even pies. Also if you’re getting married in the winter then you can even have hot chocolate or coffee!
What would you include in your dessert table?

Hey everyone!
As some of you may or may not know, I am recently engaged to the love of my life! His name is David Riojas and we are extremely excited to be begin this new chapter in our lives as bride & groom-to- be.
We have been engaged for a few weeks now and the question everyone is asking us “when is the big day”, “do you have a date yet”, “where you are getting married”. When we are approached about all of this we begin to think of all the wedding planning that we must do to create the perfect wedding for us. Our usual response is “we are not sure just yet”, “hoping for next summer”, “any suggestions”, and last but definitely most important in my eyes “we are simply enjoying our engagement right now”.
I’ve read several articles about what to do after you are engaged, and I have even written a blog post (see post) about it on here months ago. Both David and I have realized that we want to enjoy every single day with each other, even when we begin planning our big day together. We know that we both have different styles, so planning our big day is going to take more time because we want both of our styles to be incorporated into the wedding. It’s not just “my day”, its “our day”. I think couples sometimes forget about this, the groom wants to feel important too.
Since we have been engaged, we do have a few things scratched off the list like choosing a wedding party, which city we will marry in and a budget. I am most looking forward to walking down the aisle with my Dad, being at the altar, holding David’s hands and expressing our love to each other in front of God.
We are just so excited that right now we are open to creative ideas that we can add to the wedding. I’ll be sharing more with you all soon! Always my best,
Monica Trevino

White and Blue are those colors that are just refreshing to look at, especially if you’re having a summer wedding. Blue is not only a beautiful color it has long been a symbol of peace and tranquility, which is something you need on your wedding day. Sometimes, in the summer people go overboard with bright colors which makes the reception look too heavy. Using a lighter color palette like blue and white for your big day will give off a sense of lightness. My favorite thing about these white and blue weddings pictured above are the bouquets. Even though you’re just using two colors, there are several shades of blue flowers that look so pretty when paired with the green leaves of white roses!
Would you choose this color scheme for your wedding?

If you’re not getting married in a church, then a beautiful ceremony backdrop is a must! Now, if you think that a backdrop will take away from the beauty of you and your groom saying your vows then don’t worry. Even though all eyes will be on you, it’s nice to have an interesting background that your guests will marvel over.
They can be as simple as colorful paper plates hanging from a tree or a full-blown mural on the wall. If you and your husband to-be are a creative couple then maybe this could be something that you all can work on together!
I loved finding pictures of couple’s ceremony backdrops! I think the addition of these backdrops really added to the couple’s wedding and made their ceremonies even more special!
Which one is your favorite?
