Flowers by Season

You spotted the bouquet of your dreams but aren’t sure if the flowers will be in season. Weddings are stressful and let’s be real, expensive! We wanted to make things easier for you and outlined the flowers that will be most affordable during the month.

 

December, January, February

Amaryllis, Holly Berries, Poinsettias, Hydrangea, Orchids, Ranunculus, Carnations, Stephanotis, Roses, Dusty Miller, Stargazer Lilies, Calla Lilies, and Alstromeria.

 *If you are planning a February wedding make sure to book your florist early as many florists do not book as many weddings during their very busy Valentines Day season. 

March, April, May

Anemones, Daffodils, Tulips, Garden Roses, Hydrangea, Orchids, Carnations, Freesia, Daffodils, Tulips, Hyacinth, Roses, Lilies, Iris, Stock, Peonies, Carnations, and Snapdragons.

*If you’re a spring bride, you’re in luck! Spring is one of the best seasons for flower availability.

 

June, July, and August

Dahlias, Peonies*, Bells of Ireland, Garden Roses, Hydrangea, Orchids, Freesia, Sunflowers, Spray Roses, Calla Lilies, Veronica, Gerbera Daisies, Snapdragons, Alstroemeria, and Iris.

*Peonies may still be available in June and early July, talk with your local florist for more info on availability.

September, October, and November

Sunflowers, Calla Lilies, Roses, Scabiosa, Craspedia, Dahlias, Ranunculus, Bells of Ireland, Hydrangea, Cat-Tails, Cobra Lilies, Iris, Carnations, Snapdragons, Wheat, Solidago Gladiolus, and Orchids.

*Fall is a great season for incorporating unusual flowers into your bouquet.
