Entertainment 101 For Your Big Day

In the past several years, wedding trends have gone through different transitions of traditional to non-traditional. What might be the cause of this new trend? Well, for starters weddings are not just about food and drinks anymore but also including new ways of entertaining guests. A wedding is a celebration of two people coming together as one in holy matrimony but let us not forget about the guests, especially those who travel miles and miles to attend this big day. The bride and groom want their guests to remember this special day too!

Photo booths are really fun, not just at a wedding, but at a party or event. Guests have the opportunity to dress up in clothes, hats, accessories and take snapshots of them having fun and sometimes acting a bit silly. Guests can instantly see the pictures and take them home as souvenirs.

Icebreaker games at the reception are a fun and creative way to get your guests talking! Not everyone at the table will be familiar with each other, so why not break the ice by playing a fun and easy game!? You can place a jar on the table full of questions on small slips of paper and the guests have to do whatever the paper says. Games will definitely help break the ice! Create a toss the bean bag game that will be fun for all guests and even children! You are never too young to play these fun games and people who attend your big day will always remember the great times!

Entertainers at weddings are also becoming popular whether you have a live band, DJ, magicians, or dancers that engage the guests to get up off their feet and dance! Some entertainers will bring accessories for guests to wear like beads, hats, and masks to enlighten the mood and allow for guests to enjoy themselves.  By hiring entertainers, your guests will not only have a great time but everyone will be involved in at the wedding. I personally have attended several weddings with awesome entertainers and it is so much fun because you are up and dancing to great music but you also feel like you are a big part of the wedding.

Fireworks and Sparklers are great for when the newlyweds make their way into the get-a-way mobile and off to their honeymoon! This is fun for all ages and makes great pictures at the end of the night!

It’s very important for the bride and groom to have the best day of their lives but deep down they also want their guests to remember this incredible night and create new memories together.

Sparklers make the best sendoff photos and video.

Events with sparklers and open bars are a bit scary. While shooting in west Texas there were some grooms men who tossed their sparklers into the air after the bride and groom ran passed. You can take a look at it here: https://vimeo.com/58769152. What you don’t see in the video is the wedding coordinator running around stomping out grass fires. Be safe if you plan on the sparkler or fireworks route.

This event also had the entertainment of the brother singing a song as part of his toast to the new couple.

Like seen int he post, mariachi music is a Corpus Christi favorite and a great way to entertain your guest during the dinner hour.

That is a great point Derrick! Safety is key, especially when using sparklers. This could either make or break a night if safety precautions are not considered. I think family being involved in the wedding, such as the video you posted is awesome and of course a mariachi band can create a great atmosphere during the reception dinner.

    Thank you for your feedback!

I have been surfing online more than three hours lately, but I by no means found any attention-grabbing article like yours. It’s lovely value enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made excellent content as you probably did, the internet will probably be much more helpful than ever before.
