Attention guests! Tips on what to wear to a wedding!

Happy Holiday Season everyone!

With the Holiday season, you can expect engagement announcements, attending a rehearsal dinner, invitations to weddings, events with family and friends, and more! With all of the attention on the bride and groom, sometimes we often forget about what the guests should be wearing to these types of occasions.

Depending on the time of the year, let’s just go with Fall/Winter, since that is the season we are currently in. Guests should focus on wearing simple style attire, elegant but not too flashy, a nice coat, and for the ladies; shoes that will make a statement and add to your dress. Do not wear “white” to a wedding! Also try to avoid red, unless it is a winter wedding, you probably can get away with it. Red is a very bold color and can cause a lot of attention on you. You do not want to take away the attention from the bride! Stay classy! Weddings are very formal events, you will meet new people, family of the bride and groom, etc. You want to make a great impression for all of the people who will be attending the wedding. For men, its best to wear a tuxedo, fitted, and with a nice dress shirt underneath, preferably darker colors like black, navy, blue or grey.  Here in South Texas, we do not always experience cold temperatures but sometimes you never know what kind of weather it will be on the day of the event, especially if its outdoors. If it is an outdoor wedding, consult with the wedding party and see how “casual” your attire can be or how “formal” it should be or not.

Its very important to look neat, chic, classy, and why not dress up a little more than usual for your sister, brother, cousin, or good friends wedding? Don’t be afraid to dress up and look your best! It’s okay to dress up, its a formal occasion! Do not wear anything too casual, and attention to all men; do not wear jeans to the wedding! If you are having an outdoor wedding, sometimes a little casual will not hurt but stay as classy as possible! This is supposed to be the best day of your relative’s or friends life,so please remember their feelings about what you are going to wear and look you absolute best!

Here are several wedding attire outfits that I found on Pinterest that can be useful for you! Remember to always ask the wedding party about what style guests should be wearing especially if the invitation does not specify. Follow the links on the photos below to find the original website!

Just think only once in your life you have every single person you love in one room during your wedding reception. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could capture all the excitement and love that’s shared on video to discover again and again over the years to come. Precious memories that will be lost in time
